Yes, Orlando has a bevy of homegrown culinary geniuses who are ready to dazzle you with their skills and knowledge. Hot off of three James Beard Award nominations, Chef Henry Moso heads up Kabooki Sushi in two locations, including the original, MICHELIN Recommended Milk District venue and a second on Restaurant Row. Headed by Food Network favorite Trina Gregory, the MICHELIN Recommended Se7en Bites is also in The Milk District.
Fellow James Beard Award nominees James and Julie Petrakis are the masterminds behind Winter Park’s The Ravenous Pig and Disney Springs’ The Polite Pig. And prior to joining Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar at Pointe Orlando, Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot earned James Beard Awards for Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic Region, and Best Single Subject Cookbook in 2002.
Also of note is Chef Brandon McGlamery, a semifinalist in the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Chefs of the South” category. Having founded Winter Park’s MICHELIN Recommended Prato and Maitland’s Luke’s Kitchen, McGlamery is debuting an all-new concept, The Reverie, in 2026.
